Brandon C. Walecka, Esq., LL.M.
Brandon C. Walecka is an associate attorney at Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. He focuses his practice, as does our firm, in the areas of elder law, estate planning, special needs planning and estate and trust administration. He is a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MassNAELA) and was appointed to the Publications Committee in mid-2012. Atty. Walecka is the 2014-16 President of the Bristol County Estate Planning Council. He continues to serve on the BCEPC Board of Directors. He is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, the Massachusetts chapter of WealthCounsel, a national organization of estate planning attorneys. He is a member of both the Southcoast Senior Resource Association and the Southeastern Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Partnership from 2014 to present. He was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Caregiver Resource Collaborative from 2013 to 2017. He is a former member of the Hope Takes Flight committee (2015), Southcoast VNA‘s unique special event created to raise awareness and support of hospice. Also, formerly the Co-Chair of the Human Rights Committee at Crystal Springs, Inc of Assonet, MA from 2011 to 2013. He is also a current member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Bristol County Bar Association.
Attorney Walecka has been named in 2015, 2016, and 2017 to the list of Massachusetts Rising Stars by Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers recognizes attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their legal practice. It is limited to no more than 2.5% of attorneys within Massachusetts. Atty. Walecka earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law – Dartmouth, where he served as Student Bar Association President and received recognition including the UMass School of Law Pro Bono Student Award, the Bristol County Bar Association Scholarship and the Thurgood Marshall Social Justice Award. As a law student, he focused his education in the field of Elder Law and actively sought out ways to help the elderly in our community, including volunteering as an Ombudsman for the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
At Surprenant & Beneski, P.C., Atty. Walecka enjoys helping seniors, and clients of all ages, protect their hard-earned assets and make important decisions regarding their estate and their loved ones. In May of 2013, he completed the Master of Laws (LL.M.) Elder Law program through the Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida.
